Madeline Weinrib


There is nothing more fun than sifting through magazines and pulling out tear sheets that are inspiring. Taking ideas from one industry and applying them to others is what creates a voice. We are working on an interesting project at JURKOWITZ & CO right now based on crowdfunding and are pulling together image boards for the web site. Madeline Weinrib’s textiles have inspired part of the look. She is the granddaughter of the founder of ABC Carpets and most definitely carries on the genetic genes of impeccable taste.

Trina Turk


Trina Turk, fashion designer, has consistently evolved her name and brand over the years. Many fashion designers fade out, are the trend of the moment, but Trina Turk has carefully extended her brand franchise. She has come out with the natural extension into home. Bright colors, fun fabrics, eclectic mixing of pattern define the home line – much the same way as she defined her fashion collection. She attracts PR mostly because she lives the life of her brand – married to a prominent photographer, Jonathan Skow, the couple entertains, travels and attracts an interesting, diverse, creative crowd. I own an outfit from 10 years ago from Trina Turk that I am wearing again Saturday night…. the funny thing is the theme of the night is 80′s…. but it works!!
